Recent Projects, Education
Three schools. Two years. One through-line.
This collection brings together three education projects from earlier in my career, each shaped by a different community and a different set of questions.
Two built from the ground up. One reimagined within walls already standing. All three guided by the same instinct: that a school should feel like it belongs to the people inside it.
What you'll find here is the full arc of each project, from the completed renderings presented to the client, to glimpses of the coordinated drawing sets that handed the design off to the people who built it: floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, finish schedules, interior elevations, casework, and millwork.
Project 01
High School No. 1
Central Texas
New construction · Grades 9-12 · ~500,000 SF · Pre-construction (started 2025) · Completion Fall 2028
A district flagship organized around a central academic commons spine. Academy-based learning communities give each cohort a clear home, while shared CTE, fine arts, and athletics become connective tissue between them, with quiet academics held above and program-heavy zones wrapped to the perimeter.

Project 02
High School No. 2
Central Texas
New construction · Grades 9-12 · ~500,000 SF · 2,250-2,800 students · Completion 2028
A plug-and-grow campus for one of Central Texas's fastest-growing districts. Program is distributed into multiple pods, academic neighborhoods, CTE clusters, athletics, and fine arts, each able to grow on its own clock, with career pathways treated as a primary identity anchor. Interiors carry the school's identity through terrazzo flooring, fabric-wrapped acoustic panels, and a coordinated material palette.

Project 03
Middle School Renovation
Central Texas
Interior renovation · Auditorium, band, dance/cheer, CTE, athletics · Schematic Design / Pre-DD · 2026
The most recent project I worked on. We were just about to move from Schematic Design into Design Development, so there are no renderings yet. What's shown here is the client presentation: the proposed material direction that walked the district through the renovation scope before DD kicked off. This project is to be completed 2027-2028.

Across all three projects
The typical interiors set
Each of these projects relied on the same core construction document set and the same library of floor transition details. Rather than repeat them on every project, what's shown below is the standard package I worked on across all three.
Interiors narrative
- Walls
- Gyp + CMU partitions. Paint and acoustic panels at fine arts, gyms, dining, library.
- Flooring
- Polished and stained concrete, carpet tile, sealed concrete by zone.
- Ceilings
- Acoustic lay-in with gyp soffits and clouds at commons and entry.
- Casework
- Plastic laminate + solid surface. Stainless at culinary and CTE.
- Identity
- Color and material cues mark each neighborhood.
- Corridors
- Tile wainscot, rubber base, corner guards.
- Wet areas
- Full tile floor + wall packages. Cove trim, toilet partitions.
- Culinary & CTE
- Quarry tile floors, full-height tile walls, stainless tops.
- Shades
- Manual and motorized rollers by space.
- Lighting & rails
- LED package. 48" custom guardrails with stainless handrails.
Construction Documents
The standard set of construction documents I worked on across these education projects. The actual drawings are kept private under NDA out of respect for the firms and districts involved.
- A2Reflected Ceiling PlanCeiling grid layouts, light fixture coordination, and soffit transitions across the academic and shared program areas.
- A4Finish PlanFloor, base, and wall finish callouts coordinated across each program zone.
- A4Interior ElevationsWall elevations of corridors, classrooms, and shared spaces showing wainscot, paint zones, and mounted elements.
- A8Casework ElevationsBuilt-in casework elevations and sections for classroom, admin, and shared program areas.
- A8Casework, Science LabsLab casework, fume hood coordination, and service connections at science classrooms.
